Lu Liu is an award-winning pipa musician and composer whose performances reveal the instrument’s beauty, versatility, and expressive power. Across major stages and cross-cultural programs, she brings classical heritage into conversation with contemporary audiences.
Her work has been presented at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the United Nations, Merkin Hall, Asia Society, Federal Hall, and Columbia University. She is a Gold Medal recipient of the New York Chinese Instruments International Competition and a recipient of the New York State Arts Achievement Award.
