Producer & Pipa Soloist for a sold-out East–West fusion concert at Carnegie Hall, bringing Chinese and Western musicians together through original compositions, contemporary arrangements, and cross-cultural collaboration.
Moving Through Tea — Recording Collaboration
Featured Pipa Recording Artist for the 2018 recording of Moving Through Tea, composed by Chad Cannon, whose film-scoring credits include the Oscar-winning documentary American Factory. The recording was presented for contemporary dance at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
The Talmud
Featured Pipa Performer and Co-Composer of the original pipa score for Meta-Phys Ed.’s genre-bending New York premiere at The Target Margin Theater, fusing Chinese martial-arts cinema with sacred Jewish text. Featured by Time Out New York, The Theatre Times, New York Theater, and New York Jewish Week.
Hao Bang-ah Ox! at Lincoln Center
Composer & Pipa Soloist for the world premiere of Chinese Theatre Works’ Lunar New Year production, presented by the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
Silkroad Global Musician Workshop
Pipa Artist & Scholarship Recipient for Silkroad’s Global Musician Workshop, collaborating with members of the Grammy Award–winning Silkroad Ensemble and an international community of musicians representing more than 50 countries and diverse musical traditions, culminating in a performance at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall.
Tiger of Zhao at Flushing Town Hall
Composer & Pipa Performer for Chinese Theatre Works’ bilingual shadow-puppetry production, creating an original score inspired by Chinese opera and traditional storytelling. Presented at Flushing Town Hall and awarded by the Jim Henson Foundation.

Featured Pipa Soloist in Mercury Soul’s immersive collaboration with San Francisco Opera and Grammy-winning composer Mason Bates at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum.

Ne Zha — A New Musical
Pipa Musician & Improviser for the original musical composed by British composer Duncan Walsh Atkins at New York’s Sheen Center, creating live pipa textures in collaboration with music director Yan Li for a contemporary score uniting musical theatre, hip-hop expression, and East Asian mythology.
